Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Cocoa, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Scope: HVAC construction services to replace three (3) air conditioning units including air handlers at the City of Cocoa Civic Center. Bidders responding to this invitation to bid must demonstrate experience and qualifications in performing work similar in size and complexity to this project. Vendors must be registered through Vendor Link to download the solicitation documents. Small Business Set Asides (i.e. Woman Owned, Minority, Veteran, Disadvantaged etc.) are encouraged to submit bid/proposals concerning this solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid/proposals, with or without a cause; to waive technical errors and informalities; and to award bid/proposals to the lowest responsive, responsible bid/proposer. One or more of the City Council members may be present at the bid/proposal opening. Liquidated Damages for this project are $100.00 daily charge per calendar day per site. P.O. Boxes shall not be considered a physical business address. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid/proposals, with or without a cause; to waive technical errors and informalities; and to award bid/proposals to the lowest responsive, responsible bid/proposer. One or more of the City Council members may be present at the bid/proposal opening. The contractor will provide HVAC construction services to replace the 20 ton, 15 ton, and 7.5 ton air conditioning units including the air handlers at the City of Cocoa Civic Center located at 430 Delannoy Ave, Cocoa, FL 32922. The original units were installed around 2006 and have reached the end of their useful life This is a turn-key project including startup. The detailed scope of work is as follows: 1. Replace the existing 20-ton, 15-ton & 7 1/2 ton split systems including, but not limited to: new outside air dampers and actuators, new duct heater on System #2. 2. LOTO the existing condensers and AHUs. 3. Remove all R-22 refrigerants per EPA standards. Provide documentation showing the amount recovered and the final disposition of the refrigerant. 4. Flush refrigerant piping with RX-11 refrigerant flush. 5. Remove existing fencing and CUs as needed. Replace when complete. 6. Remove duct, refrigerant piping and condensate piping to the extent where the AHU can be removed. 7. Disconnect /Reconnect existing DISTECH controls. 8. Remove AHU's and condenser's, transport off site. 9. Flush refrigerant lines in preparation of the new R 410-A equipment. 10. Install new Split Systems with like equipment. 11. Reconnect duct and piping to AHU. 12. All Control and power wiring in the mechanical room to be in conduit. 13. Provide Coil coatings for the condensers. 14. Re-insulate duct, refrigerant and condensate piping where required. 15. Replace Existing OA damper and actuator on AHU 1. 16. Replace Existing OA actuator on AHU-6 (7.5 ton) 17. Replace Duct Heater on AHU 2. 18. Once piping is complete. Pressure test to 450 psi and hold for 24 hours. 19. Perform Triple Evacuation. Breaking with nitrogen each time. 20. Start System per manufacturers recommendations. 21. Perform Test and Balance on the AHU to ensure all components are operating correctly. 22. Warranty parts and labor for one year
