BIM (Bridge Inspection and Maintenance) Program, providing regular yearly inspections when required and following the Alberta Transportation guidelines. The cost for this section should be based on per bridge inspection (commonly known as BIM Inspection) and include, preparing a yearly bridge priority list. Level II inspections (Coring of Timber Structures, Girder or Barrel Inspection, Load Evaluation and Rating etc.). The cost for this section should be based on per bridge inspection Prepare Bridge Assessments Reports as necessary as a result of the BIM inspections Prepare and administer a yearly "Bridge Maintenance / Repair Tender" related to the recommendations based on the findings of annual BIM inspections. Prepare Tender Packages for new and existing bridge replacements including, preliminary engineering studies, detailed design, site survey, pre and post construction services. Any other requirements to complete the projects in its entirety including but not limited to obtaining all regulatory approvals, negotiations and coordination with the landowners, identification and preparation of Right of Way purchase plans, any geotechnical investigations required, utility relocations and crossing agreements. Respondents are advised to include cost for land acquisition in their estimate (as a deletable item). The County will decide at the onset of a project whether to proceed with any land acquisition in house or through the selected Respondent. Page 19 of 32 All project management and reporting shall be based on the most recent version of Alberta Transportation Consultant Guidelines Bridge replacement and rehabilitation will be negotiated as scope changes. A sample should be provided in the schedule of fees. Prepare a comprehensive Bridge Management Plan (Bridge Asset Management Plan) for Lamont County that will include but not limited to bridge inventory, bridge standards, current state of bridges, risk assessment and level, desired state, performance measures, funding requirements, funding gap; funding sources, Funding applications, 3, 5, and 10 year bridge replacement plan, and bridge maintenance plans. Submit the cost required to prepare Bridge Management Plan. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
