The County of Sonoma seeks Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District (Ag + Open Space) to implement priority forest understory ladder fuel reduction work on the Saddle Mountain Open Space Preserve. The purpose of the project is to reduce hazard fuels by removing standing dead understory saplings and intermediate trees within forest stands that were lightly to moderately burned by the 2020 Glass Fire. This RFP outlines the information necessary to understand the competitive selection process and the required documentation necessary for the submission of proposals. All interested proposers must meet the requirements specified in this RFP. QUESTIONS Proposers will be required to submit all questions in writing before 5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2022 in order for staff to prepare written responses to all proposers. All questions and answers that occur at the mandatory pre-bid walk will be documented, and written answers to these and other questions submitted before the deadline will be shared with all potential proposers through an updated attachment on the Countys supplier portal and email notification. LIVING WAGE The living wage rate required under the Countys Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased. Effective January 1, 2022, the living wage rate required under the LWO shall be $16.75 per hour, an increase over the previous $15.00 per hour. The adjustment was adopted by the Countys Board of Supervisors on December 14, 2021, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.
