**Bids have been rejected and will be completed by in house staff.** The City of Globe is soliciting bids for a qualified contractor to perform a complete rehab of the two clarifiers at the Pinal Creek Wastewater facility. The following is a description of the worked to be performed.
1. Adjust elevations of weirs to manufacturer's specification.
2. Replace weir gaskets and missing hardware as needed.
3. Jet clean and flush Return Activated sludge lines from the bottom of the clarifier into the RAS wet well, clean out wet well.
4. Jet clean and flush scum lines from the skimmer box into the sum wet well, clean out wet well.
5. Sand blast and repaint mechanical parts, as indicated in Attachment 1 for the coating specifications for surface preparation and coating application requirements.
6. The cost of a certified coating inspector shall be included in the bid, who will provide
a report for the surface prep and coating application.
7. Submit coating inspection plan.
8. Replace 3' skimmer blade and missing hardware as needed.
9. Replace rake blade and missing hardware as needed.
10.Remove and replace spring tension SCUM flush valves
11.Provide one spare spring tension SCUM flush valve.
12.Install remaining catwalk on clarifier #1 (catwalk on site).
13.Contractor shall dispose of all old material.
14.The 1983 as built drawings found in Attachment 2 are provided as reference for
15.The operations manual for this project is incorporated herein, as outlined in Attachment 3. Contractor is responsible for field verification to determine locations of systems and components in field, as well as dimensions and existing conditions related to the work. The City of Globe reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bids, or to waive any informality in any bid, or to withhold the award if deemed in the best interest of the City of Globe. All questions related to the Invitation for Bid shall be directed in writing via e-mail to bids@globeaz.gov by Friday, March 25, 2022, 4:00 P.M. (AZ Time). Bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contractor's total bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
