The Village is soliciting bids form, and desires to retain the services of, a qualified General Contractor to construct bicycle, pedestrian, roadway, drainage, and lighting improvements along two corridors. The first corridor is along NW 67th Avenue and NW 38th Street from NW 41st Street to NW 66th Avenue. The second corridor is along NW 37th Street from NW 67th Avenue to NW 57th Avenue. The Village intends to award a contract for Village of Virginia Gardens Community Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements project to the contractor that: is FDOT Pre-Qualified, possesses qualified manpower, equipment, administrative capabilities to provide the proposed services, possesses previous experience on this type of work and provides the best offer and prices deemed to be in the greatest benefit to the Village. In addition, the Contractor must have previous experience constructing similar roadway improvements. The Contractor shall have the following FDOT Pre Qualified work types required are: Drainage (7)(Major)(Sub), Electrical Work (8)(Minor)(Sub), Flexible Paving (10)(Major)(Prime), Grading (11)(Minor)(Sub), Grassing, Seeding and Sodding (12)(Minor)(Sub), Pavement Marking (28)(Minor)(Sub), and Roadway Signing (38)(Minor)(Sub). It is the intent of the Village to award a contract for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days for substantial completion of project, subject to cancellation as provided herein.
