Renovation of a mixed-use development in Carson City, Nevada. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and municipal facility.

SUMMARY: Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the Carson City Public Safety Complex Boilers #1 and #2 Replacement Project a Federally Funded Project. As this is a federally funded project, the federal provisions control if any City or State provisions conflict with the federal provisions. The project consists of replacing two boilers located at the Carson City Public Safety Complex located at 885 East Musser Street. There are two existing boilers that will need to be replaced with four Lochinvar boilers with Lochinvar Remote Connect. There will also need to be two diesel backup boilers installed onsite. The bid item prices shall include costs for engineering design, specifications, local and state permitting, removal of existing boilers, installation of new boilers with new venting system, installation of primary boiler pumps at each boiler and all tools, equipment, materials and labor for the full installation of boilers. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: This is a Federal-aid contract and the requirements for such shall apply. On a Federal-aid contract, any Contractor otherwise qualified by the State of Nevada to perform such work is not required to be licensed nor to submit application for license in advance of submitting a bid or having such bid considered, provided, however, that such exception does not constitute a waiver of the State's right under its license laws to require a Contractor, determined to be a successful bidder, to be licensed to do business in the State of Nevada with a Class C-1 in connection with the award of the contract to him.
