As of May 16, 2022, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Work consists of upgrading the existing HVAC system. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural and Structural. The Work consists of the following: 1. Mechanical work includes but it not limited to, renovating the schools HVAC system. HVAC will be testing, adjusted and balanced. Controls will be provided by JCI and integrated into the existing JCI building automation system. The HVAC system will be commissioned by JCI. 2. Electrical work includes, but is not limited to, disconnecting the mechanical equipment to be demolished and connecting the new mechanical equipment. Panels and breakers will be added or modified as required to accommodate the revised electrical loads. Reinstalling existing duct smoke detectors. 3. Two (2) Additive Bid Items are included, refer to Division 1 Section "Additives". 4. Work Phases: The construction will occur in one (1) phase a. The contractor shall prioritize replacement of RAC-3, where once they have notice to proceed this equipment should be ordered as quickly as possible and come up with schedule to replace that does not create downtime for the school's usage. This RAC-3 rooftop unit should be ordered with "quick ship" options from a manufacturer that can provide the equipment as quickly as possible to replace over Summer 2022 or as soon as possible. This project is federally funded and shall meet requirements of the Davis Bacon General Wage Decision. Warranties provided by the Contractor, sub-contractors and manufacturers shall start at the Project Substantial Completion date of August 11, 2023. Direct any questions concerning the Project Manual and Drawings in writing via the Architect. The last day questions may be submitted is March 15, 2022 by 5 pm. The last addendum will be issued on March 18, 2022 by 5 pm. Bids must be accompanied by either a cashier's check or certified check or bidder's bond (AIA 310) in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid amount and made payable to Prince George County Public Schools, Prince George, Virginia The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and/or reject all bids. In accordance with Va. Code, Section 2.2-4319, the Owner shall not reject all bids solely to avoid awarding a contract to a particular responsive and responsible bidder.
