The project will entail the removal and replacement of the traffic signal control cabinets and vehicle detection equipment at nine intersections along Magnolia Parkway and Pearland Parkway. The nine intersections are as follows: 1. Magnolia Parkway at Cullen Boulevard 2. Magnolia Parkway at Manvel Road/FM 1128 3. Magnolia Parkway at Harkey Road 4. Magnolia Parkway at McLean Road 5. Magnolia Parkway at Veterans Drive 6. Magnolia Parkway at SH 35 7. Magnolia Parkway at Pearland Parkway 8. Pearland Parkway at Province Village Drive 9. Pearland Parkway at Shallow Creek Drive Bid Security and Bonds: Bid Security in the form of Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Pearland in the amount of 5% of the total base bid price must accompany each proposal. Bidders submitting bids electronically through the E-bid System shall scan and up-load a copy of the sealed Bid Bond as an attachment to their bid. Original documents for Bid Security shall be requested by the City from the lowest two bidders and delivered to the City's Purchasing Officer within 48 business hours of the Bid Opening. Bid Security shall be delivered to: Office of City Purchasing, Finance Department, City Hall Annex, 3523 Liberty Drive, Pearland, Texas 77581. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as required by Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code or other applicable law, as amended, upon the form included in the Contract Documents, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, such bonds to be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and named in the current list of "Treasury Department Circular No. 570", naming the City of Pearland, Texas as Obligee. Additionally, the successful bidder shall be required to provide a one year Maintenance Bond for the improvements installed as part of this work, as provided in the Special Conditions of Agreement. DBE/SBE Goal: The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project is 0%. The Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal for this project is 0%. DBEs and SBEs selected must be TxDOT approved.
