Runway Intersection Reconstruction Contract#: 2020-39-20 Reconstruction of the Runway 13/31 and Runway 5/23 mainline and shoulder pavement that is located within the runway safety areas of both runways. Length of reconstruction on Runway 13/31 is approximately 600 ft., which includes the 150 x 150 pavement at the intersection of both runways. Length of reconstruction on Runway 5/23 on both sides of Runway 13/31 is approximately 195 ft (total length approximately 390 ft). Due to the location of this project, construction must be complete in 34 calendar days between August 30, 2023 and October 2, 2023. 24 hour operations are allowed to complete the project within the allotted 34 calendar days. Project includes removal of existing runway pavement section, subdrain installation, grading, crushing existing airport-provided concrete to recycled concrete aggregate base, installation of aggregate base, drainable base, PCC mainline and shoulder paving, runway edge lighting, runway centerline and touchdown zone lighting, traffic control, and seeding/site restoration.
