Completed plans call for the construction of a 12,714-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for the demolition of a fire / police facility.

The Township of Clearview desires to retain the services of a design consultant and contractor team to provide a new combined firehall and public works building on the property of 5212 County Road 9 in New Lowell, Clearview, Ontario. The Township has determined that the existing Public Works building in New Lowell is to be demolished in its entirety, and it is anticipated that the new joint operations centre will cover a large part or all of the existing footprint of the existing Work Garage. As such, it is expected that demolition of the existing Works Building would commence at the start of the construction project and would not be occupied by Township Staff. The Township has also determined that the existing Firehall on the property will also be demolished, but in a phased approach such that the new building will be completely operational and occupied by Township staff, before demolition of the Firehall would start. This approach requires that a designated construction zone for the new building be designated and protected so that the existing Firehall remains fully operational during the new building construction. The project involves the complete demolition of both existing buildings along with the detailed design and construction of a new, combined firehall and public works building on site to be known as the Township of Clearview Joint Operations Centre.
