A timeline for award has not yet been established.** ESTIMATED COST $8,000,000 to $8,500,000 The objective of the project is to rehabilitate and upgrade the aging HVAC and mechanical equipment throughout buildings in the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant. Work includes replacing HVAC air handling units, supply and exhaust fans, laboratory fume hoods and laboratory exhaust fans; adding new air conditioning and ventilation; converting sluice gate electric actuators to hydraulic; replacing doors and roofing; installing fall protection; replacing low pressure air valves in the mixed liquor channel; implementing a new building management (BMS) system; replacing heating hot water and chilled water piping, domestic water heater and vacuum system; replacing roof drains and piping; and installing weir washer for clarifiers. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: Class A General Engineering Contractor; C-10 Electrical; C-20 Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning Contractor; C-33 Painting and Decorating Contractor; C-36 Plumbing Contractor; Trucking and Hauling; Hazardous Material Contractors; C-6 Carpentry; Cabinets and Millwork; D-6 Concrete/Related Services and C-39 Roofing Contractor. Prime Bidder's attendance at this conference is worth 15 points toward Chapter 14B "Good Faith Outreach" requirements. Documented attendance in the teleconference pre-bid meeting will satisfy this requirement. Bidders must achieve at least 80 points (out of a possible 100 points), as determined by CMD, to be deemed compliant with the "Good Faith Outreach" requirements, except those who exceed the above stated LBE subcontracting participation requirement by 35% under Section 14B.8(B) of the Administrative Code. SFPUC encourages Bidders to submit a Safety Prequalification Form at least 3-weeks prior to the date of Bid opening. Bidders are required to pass the Safety Prequalification prior to SFPUC considering their bid submission complete. SFPUC will notify Bidders who have passed the Safety Prequalification prior to or on the date of Bid opening. Refer to Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders, "Bidder Qualifications" and Section 00 45 12 - Safety Prequalification for additional information. A Class "General A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
