Project Description: In general, the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: a. The project includes an addition of approximately 5,530 square feet to the existing Madison College Watertown building to house new nursing classrooms /labs. The project also includes approximately 5,660 square feet of renovations including nursing simulation labs and support spaces, nursing program storage rooms, expanded restrooms and mechanical and electrical space. The addition envelope will be com-prised of brick veneer and metal wall panels over cold-formed metal stud walls. The roof is metal deck over a steel frame structure with tapered insulation system and TPO membrane roofing. Floors are concrete slab on grade with perimeter in-floor radiant heating. The work includes plumbing, fire suppression, HVAC, electrical and technology systems for the new addition and renovated areas, including a new air-handler and air-cooled chiller. The building addition and remodeling spaces will be constructed to meet LEED Silver design guidelines. b. The project will also include exterior work for new walkways, dumpster enclosure, landscaping, storm-water utilities, and parking lot improvements.
