Renovation of an educational facility in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Due to the severity of patients we are seeing in the prisoner unit, we need to increase the patient safety features as required by DNV. Work includes upgrading two patient rooms on the 7th floor prisoner unit. The rooms will need to exceed the Office of Mental Health standards and Department of Correction requirements. These upgrades may impact finishes, components and services to the rooms in order to provide a higher level of safety. The contractor is required to work with our sole source vendors (Honeywell, Siemens and Convergint Technologies) if the systems are impacted as a result of the necessary changes. All work on this Contract is to be completed within/by within 90 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 15% MBE and 15% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
