The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority ("NFTA") will receive bids on a general contract for the LRRT Station Exterior Rehabilitation. The Work of this project provides for the rehabilitation of the exterior envelope at three rail stations, including but not limited to joint sealants, curtain wall replacement, cleaning of wall structures, crack repair and painting. See Specification Section 01 11 00 for a general summary of work. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 1% The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 at website, or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 50% of the Work with its own forces. The time of completion for the project is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1200.00 per calendar day will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified.
