Renovation of a municipal facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Replace the elevator system originally installed circa 1986. They are motor-generator driven, geared elevators with DC motors. The drive equipment and electronics are located at the lowest landing and are therefore termed basement machine. The elevator capacity is 2500 pounds and speed is 400 fpm. The elevators serve five floors including the basement level. Doors are center opening 42". Provincial designation is 1629 and 1630. The elevators have been equipped with recall by building fire alarm system. The two elevators are arranged as a duplex, so that is to say operating from a single set of hall buttons.
