This work shall consist of supply and delivery of Salt - Sodium Chloride, Bulk Carbon Dioxide, Bulk Soda Ash Light, and High Calcium Quicklime (Calcium Oxide - granular). Bidders may bid on one or more chemicals. Each item will be considered on an individual basis and may be awarded on an individual basis. This work shall consist of supply and delivery of Salt - Sodium Chloride, Bulk Carbon Dioxide, Bulk Soda Ash Light, and High Calcium Quicklime (Calcium Oxide - granular). Bidders may bid on one or more chemicals. Each item will be considered on an individual basis and may be awarded on an individual basis. The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue plans, bid forms, and specifications to any person, firm, or corporation that it considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village. A bid bond, cashier s check, or certified check shall accompany all bid proposals for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount (total of all chemicals bid). All bids shall be valid for a period of 30 days. It shall be the bidder s responsibility to examine the site to familiarize himself with the conditions under which the work is to be performed. It shall be the bidder s responsibility to verify all conditions and familiarize himself with the project prior to bidding. Any questions regarding this project shall be submitted in writing or by email by March 16, 2022 to Nicholas Christie, Assistant Director of Public Works, Village of Park Forest, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466, nchristie@vopf.com. A copy of the questions, along with the responses will be sent to all prospective bidders on file, and will also be available for public inspection at the Office of the Director of Public Works and on Village website. Additionally, all bidders are encouraged to sign up for text message updates on addendums and future bids through the Bids and RFP s section of our website. Proposals shall be on the forms attached. Specifications, Instructions to Bidders and Invitation for Bids shall be returned intact along with the proposal forms, and shall be considered part of the proposal.
