Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Lawndale, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 19,800-square-foot water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a New Operations Center consisting of an administration building (approximately 17,700 s.f.) and ancillary support buildings (totaling approximately 2,100 s.f.) for Cleveland County Water. The works involves slab on-grade pre-engineered steel buildings with metal roofing, metal stud and masonry walls, with typical plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual. The provisions of North Carolina General Statue 143-128, including minority business enterprise participation, shall be observed in letting and executing the Work. Applicable provisions of North Carolina General Statue Chapter 87 shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts. Bidders must submit with each bid acceptable bid security in the form of a bid bond, in the name of the Owner, in the amount of five percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days following opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor informalities and irregularities.
