The project includes abrasion blasting of all interior and exterior surfaces of the storage tank, recoating all interior and exterior surfaces of the existing storage tank, coordination with tactical public safety, on all matters relating to the operation and maintenance of the telecommunication equipment mounted to the storage tank, removal, storage, and reinstallation of the existing pax miser mixer currently installed within the tank interior, spot repairs identified in tank interior which are identified after tank dewatering, remove and replace loose grouting around the base of the tank and apply flexible sealant and coating system to exterior ring wall, disinfection of the interior of the storage tank following acceptance of the interior and exterior coating systems. All associated containment, protection, and controls associated with the blast cleaning and recoating operations, disposal of all blast-cleaned materials from the site, and any other identified work approved by the owner. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Cash or check will be accepted from the date of advertisement up to seven (7) calendar days prior to the date initially scheduled for receipt of bids (extension not included) and only cash, money order or certified check will be accepted for bidding documents requested during the seven (7) calendar days prior to the initially scheduled date for receipt of bids. Bid security must accompany each bid and shall be in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000, and may be given at the option of the bidder by certified check, cashier's check or bid bond. The Monroe Township Utility Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, as well as the right to waive all informalities in awarding a contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of n.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.
