Demolition, site work and addition to a municipal facility in Rocklin, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The work of this contract includes but is not limited to the following: Provide and furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and any additional Professional Engineering Services necessary for installation, on-site construction of a new building addition, and tenant improvements in existing buildings, along with associated onsite improvements for: Existing Administration Building: Renovation and Expansion of Existing Lobby/Reception area and Entry into Board Room. Existing building is one-story Type VB construction with B occupancy; wood framed wall construction with cement plaster finish, wood roof structure with single ply roof membrane and metal roofing. Existing Maintenance Building: Renovation and expansion of existing office and locker room areas and replacement and upgrade of interior stairway to second floor. Existing building is (partial) twostory Type VB construction of mixed B and S-1 occupancies; wood framed wall construction with cement plaster finish, wood roof structure with single ply roof membrane and metal roofing. New Building Addition: New one-story building addition housing Break Room / Training Room and associated break room / catering kitchen. Construction of On-Site improvements consisting of; but not limited to the following: General earthwork, grading and on-site utilities. A.C. paving and concrete drives, curbs, gutters, ramps and walks as indicated. Concrete stairs and ramps leading up to concrete patio area with concrete retaining walls Landscaping and irrigation. Construction Phasing: Phase 1: Site work and site utilities, construction of the building addition and tenant improvement and exterior modifications at the (E) Administration Building. Administrative personnel in area of renovation to be house in temporary trailer located in the (E) front parking lot. After completion of Phase 1 administrative staff to move back to (E) Administrative Building. Phase 2: Maintenance personnel to relocate to temporary trailer in (E) front parking lot and crews will utilize temporary trailers provided for locker and restroom. Construction of tenant improvement work in the maintenance building, remaining site work, hardscape and landscape. The Contract Time is 425 days. Contractor should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total Contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the Contract and shall be in the form set forth in the Contract Documents Each bidder s bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder s security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier s check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder s bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Such bidder s security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with the requirements set forth in Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the Labor Code. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
