Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Americus, Georgia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 4,000-square-foot conference / convention center; for the demolition of a conference / convention center; for the renovation of a conference / convention center; and for site work for a conference / convention center.

The scope of this project includes the rehabilitation of architecturally significant portions of the original clubhouse, which would be completed in conjunction with selective demolition of the 1970 addition. The scope also includes the construction of a 4,000 square-foot addition, which would likely be situated on the north side of the Center so as not to detract from the roof line or fa ade of the original historic structure. The building program would contain work and meeting spaces for entrepreneurs, students, and the community, while continuing to honor Judge Bells legacy by serving as a place that cultivates the advancement of learning, service, professionalism, and community. The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $2,900,000 The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances. The Design Professional s services are anticipated to commence Spring 2022. Construction documents are anticipated for completion in Winter 2023. Preconstruction services are expected to begin immediately upon execution of the contract with the CM/GC. The CM/GC shall obtain written authorization from the Owner prior to proceeding with any additional services. The start of construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2023.
