The undersigned has examined the locations of the work described and is fully informed as to the nature of the work and the conditions relating to its performance and understands that any quantities shown are approximate only, and are subject to either increase or decrease. Prices to be good for one (1) year after bid date. The undersigned hereby proposes to furnish all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus and other means of production, do all the work, furnish all materials except the pit run gravel, and for the unit prices named in the itemized bid, to complete the work herein described in accordance with Section 902 of the current Standard Specifications for Highway Construction of the Michigan Department of State Highways and Transportation. The undersigned further proposes to do such extra work as may be authorized by the Board which were not included in the itemized bid. Compensation shall be made on the basis agreed upon before such extra work is begun. Bid/Performance Deposit: A cashier's check or bank money order made out to the Lapeer County Road Commission in the amount of $2,000.00 is required and a copy must accompany the bid online. The bid/performance deposit of the contractor awarded the contract will be cashed, held in escrow and then returned upon satisfactory completion. The deposit must be dropped off within 48 hours by the contractor awarded the contract. The contractor shall save harmless and indemnify the Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Lapeer against all claims for damages to the public or private property and for injuries to the persons arising out of and during the progress and to the completion of the work. The contractor shall, provide with their bid, a Certificate of Insurance that he carries Worker's Compensation Insurance. The contractor shall, provide with their bid, a Certificates of Insurance satisfactory to the Road Commission, to afford protection against all claims for damages to property and injuries to persons arising out of and during the progress of the work. Contractor will schedule a start date with the Commission after the bid is awarded. Work to be completed no later than 09/01/2022. Failure to compy will result in fortfieture of deposit
