Mowing will be a double swath 5 wide on both sides of roadway, on all local roads and intersections The FIRST mowing will begin June 1 and be complete by July 25, unless mutually agreed upon by both parties. Mowing equipment will be able to cut brush and small trees up to 2 inches in diameter. Bid award will be made by Township. Successful bidder to be notified by May 1 as to Townships participating. Include insurance requirements with your bid. Bid/Performance Deposit (BOND): A check in the amount of $500, made out to the LapeerCounty Road Commission, must accompany this proposal, the check will be cashed upon receiving. The bid/performance deposit of the contractor is held in escrow until the work is completed and then will be returned. In the event that the Road Commission uses an alternate contractor due to performance issues or the contractor damages personal property the contractor will be given the opportunity to resolve the issue prior to using their escrow funds.
