Site work for a municipal facility in Santa Clara, California. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The City of Santa Clara is seeking bids from qualified vendors to furnish and install 26 bays of pallet racks for outdoor storage of surplus inventory, in support of Silicon Valley Power, the City s electric utility. The City shall construct a concrete foundation with footplates on which the pallet racks will be installed. The City will use and install wire decks from City-owned pallet racks. QUALIFICATIONS: The Contractor (or principal employee of the Contractor) must possess a valid State of California Contractor's License, class D24-Metal Products, or D34-Prefabricated Equipment. BASIS OF AWARD: The award for this requirement will be based on the lowest responsive quote. The City may award by line item, lot, or overall lowest cost after application of local business preference, if applicable. LABOR COMPLIANCE: Prevailing wage requirements are applicable to this bid. Bidder shall not pay less than the prevailing wage for services performed, pursuant to California Labor Code Section 1770. LBE PREFERENCE: The City s Local Business Enterprise (LBE) Preference is applicable to this bid. If your business has an office in the City of Santa Clara and a valid City of Santa Clara Business Tax Certificate, then you should refer to the bid instructions for further information on applying for this Preference. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to furnish and install 26 bays of pallet racks for outdoor storage at the City's Corp Yard as described hereunder. Contractor shall deliver all materials to the City's Service Yard, located at 1705 Martin Avenue, Santa Clara., CA. Contractor shall install the pallet racks to the concrete foundation ("Installation Site"), constructed by City. Prior to construction, City will provide a plan set to Contractor to review for compatibility with pallet rack anchor points. Selected Contractor will be required to provide product cutsheets, including leg bolt patterns, and supply seismic loading calculations within five (5) days after notice of award. City shall be responsible for all forklift operation including offloading materials at time of delivery and moving to the Installation Site.
