Asof June 21, 2022, the project is pending award. A timeline for awrad has not been confirmed. The project scope includes modifications to the existing screenings separating or dewatering system in the Preliminary Building Screening Room Nos. 1, 2, and 3, Preliminary Building Electrical Room Nos. 1, 2, and 3, and the Preliminary Building Conveyor Gallery including demolition of the seven (7) existing brush screens, rag screw conveyors, diverter gates, and drain piping and replacement with seven (7) rotary drum screens, diverter gates, drain piping, modifications to the existing sluicing troughs, wash water system, and associated piping and appurtenances to connect to exiting band screens. Demolition of existing equipment pads for the existing brush screens and installation of concrete pedestals for new drum screens Relocating existing monorails to align with the new rotary drum screen lifting points. Filling the existing slab openings with concrete that are currently covered with metal plates. Electrical demolition work and providing power and controls for new drum screens and diverter gates and coordinating and managing the instrumentation and control system work. Modification of the control for installation of new brush screens and diverter gates, and any other I and C work. Performing programming and configuration as per the Scope of Work provided by MR Systems, Inc. Restoring all disturbed areas and clean-up the project work area and return the area to its pre-construction conditions. Bids are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or a certified check made payable to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents. The County will award the Contract to the lowest "qualified" bidder, subject with the Owner's right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interests. With limited response, Gwinnett County reserves the right to extend the solicitation opening date as appropriate in order to assure a competitive procurement process.
