Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Knoxville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 1,516-square-foot multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.

DEMOLITION STATE OF TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Bidding will start promptly at 10:00 AM. Tract # 2SS Address 4640 Wye Way Lane Knoxville, TN 37920 Improvements Contractor will demolish and remove 1,516 sq ft 2 car detached garage with upstairs apartment. The structure includes a dimensional shingle roof, concrete and vinyl exterior and wooden porch with steps. The lower level is built into the rear hill and contains 784 sq ft with slab floor, block and stone walls, and joist ceiling. The upstairs apartment includes 732 sq ft of living space. Remove, demolish and backfill swimming pool. Remove all lamp posts, vinyl fencing, and brick pavers. Locate, pump, remove septic, then backfill. Remove all concrete and footers. Remove all building materials and debris. Stone retaining wall is to remain. Additional dirt may be necessary to backfill to a 3:1 slope. Seed and straw all disturbed working areas. TRACT 2SS WILL BE BID INDIVIDUALLY. TRACTS ARE TO BE SEEDED WITH KENTUCKY FESCUE 31, STRAWED AND FERTILIZED. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all State laws and local ordinances to remove said improvements, salvage, and debris, and to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and with Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21, Department of Transportation. The successful bidder must agree to indemnify and save the State harmless from all losses, damages, and expenses in accordance with the terms of agreement for the removal of the improvements. A certificate of insurance for liability must be furnished to the State before a bid can be placed. Any bid placed without a certificate of insurance for liability will not be accepted. The successful bidder shall enter into an agreement to remove said improvements to ground level by Sunday, May 1, 2022. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the decision of the Property Management Office will be final. All materials are to be properly disposed of in a permitted landfill. Payment will not be ordered until manifests/receipts from a legally permitted landfill are furnished to TDOT. Evaluation proceedings will be conducted within the established guidelines regarding equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory action based upon the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, creed, age, and disability. Interested certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms as well as other minority- and/or women-owned firms are encouraged to respond to all advertisements by TDOT. The REMOVER shall provide a valid Tennessee Driver's license or photo identification issued by the department of safety; or a valid driver's license or photo identification from another state where the issuance requirements are at least as strict as those in Tennessee, as determined by the department of safety.
