Consists of full removal and widening of the sidewalk on the west side of the street to help with ADA accessibility at the entrances to the businesses; curb and gutter removal and replacement; parkway excavation; sidewalk and stamped sidewalk installation; hot-mix asphalt surface removal; full pavement removal on the west side of the roadway at the new location of the curb and gutter; storm sewer improvements; removal and replacement of existing street lighting with new Village standard ornamental poles and luminaires along with new conduit and cable; construction of hot-mix asphalt roadway class D patching; construction of hotmix asphalt surface and polymerized leveling binder courses; installation of new gateway entrance signs; restoration; striping; and all appurtenant construction. All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check, or Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, or as provided in the applicable sections of the "Standard Specifications" This Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder considering conformity with the terms and conditions established by the Village in the Proposal and Contract documents. The issuance of Plans and Proposal forms for bidding based upon a prequalification rating shall not be the sole determinant of responsibility. The Village reserves the right to determine responsibility at the time of award, to reject any and all Proposals, to readvertise the proposed improvements, and to waive technicalities
