Peabody School Chiller Replacement Project. DCAMM General Category: HVAC. DCAMM Filed Sub Category: Electrical. The estimated project value is: $883,155.00 Work shall be completed by December 30, 2022 The chiller replacement project at the Peabody School located in Cambridge MA, will consist of replacing the existing air cooled chiller located on the roof, this includes replacing the existing steel dunnage and spring isolators. The chiller is associated with a dual temperature piping system and serves as the cooling plant for the building. The project will require that this chiller replacement occur during the heating season and be completed by December 2022. The three existing dual temperature end suction base mounted pumps will also have to be replaced. However the during construction, one pump must remain active to provide heating hot water to the building. Once two pumps have been replaced the heating system shall alternate and utilize one of the new pumps for heating hot water circulation while the remaining existing pump is replaced. Existing chilled water piping will remain, be cleaned, flushed and treated, modifications will be required where connections to new chiller and pumps are made. The project will include a new Jace for the chiller plant and all necessary sensors, control wiring, conduits and programming. The new chiller plant shall be integrated into the City of Cambridge existing Architecture system with Tridium Niagara/JACE controllers. Provide a SEAMLESS tie-in to the existing BMS Central Server and all points and new ATC system graphics shall be mapped into the existing City of Cambridge and School Department Tridium Niagra servers. The Work shall commence on April 4th. 2022 and be limited to the boiler room, all work inside the occupied building and on the roof such as structural work shall be completed during the summer months between the end of June to the end of August. Replacement of the chiller can occur after October 15th, 2022. Start-up and testing must be completed by the end of December and the punch list completed by January 20, 2023.
