The City of La Vergne ("City") will receive and publicly open sealed bids at La Vergne City Hall, located at 5093 Murfreesboro Road, La Vergne, Tennessee 37086. This Invitation to Bid is subject to the instructions, conditions, specifications, addenda, and any other elements of this Invitation to Bid, including those incorporated by reference. Bid envelope must include the bid title, bid opening date, and the bidder's name. Failure to provide this information on the envelope may result in the bid not being considered. Do not submit bids by fax or electronically. Bids submitted by fax or electronically cannot be accepted or considered for award. Sealed bids are required. During the initial 1 year term of this contract no adjustments to the unit prices will be allowed. During the subsequent 2nd or 3rd year extension period the contractor may submit a request to adjust individual unit prices to reflect fluctuations in material costs only. This request must be supported by documentation of the initial material cost and current cost as purchased by the contractor from the same supplier and material specification. This request must be submitted in writing to the contract manager 30 days prior to the proposed effective date for consideration. The contract manager (Public Works Director) will respond in writing with approval or denial of the adjustment request within the 30 day period. In no event shall the adjustment to any unit price increase by greater than 5% in any 12 month period.
