All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder, and marked "Window Replacement". CONTRACT TYPE Bids will be a single prime contract. Bidding contractors shall secure all subcontractors necessary to perform work identified in the Contract Document. Bidders will be required to provide Submit offer on the Bid Form provided and bound herein. Offer is to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. It is statutory policy of the State of Illinois that contractors and subcontractors shall pay prevailing wages pursuant to the Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.). This project shall consist of the removal and replacement of aluminum storefront windows in the upper level of the gymnasium, repairs to existing masonry brick veneer ties, installation of a new fluid applied air and vapor barrier, a thin brick panel wall system, new gutters and downspouts, tie-ins to existing EPDM membrane roofing, new ballast retaining bar, walk pads and associated metal flashings and sealants. Alternate bids will include a new fluid applied air and vapor barrier and thin brick panel wall system for the gable ends as indicated in the Contract Documents.
