Site work and paving for a road / highway in Godfrey, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Village of Godfrey (Village) seeks proposals to install a new guardrail along the north and south side of Wenzel Road after the roadway pavement is restored. The guardrail installation will be the final portion of work for the Wenzel Road Culvert Replacement Project. The scope of work involved with the project is detailed in the construction plans and involves "Steel Plate Beam Guardrail" installed along both the north side and south side of Wenzel Road according to the Illinois Department of Transportation's (IDOT) Highway Standards, latest revision. Due to the slopes behind the guardrail being steeper than 3:1, the posts for the guardrail shall be 9 in length and spaced at 6-3 intervals with embedment of 76-1/8 (IDOT Highway Standard 630001-12)/ Traffic Barrier Terminal Type 1B shall be installed at each guardrail end (IDOT Highway Standard 631006-08). Guardrail shall include bidirectional, crystal reflectors (IDOT Highway Standard 782006 and terminal markers (IDOT Highway Standard 725001-01).
