In accordance with La. R.S. 37:2163.A, a Contractors' License Number in the appropriate classification(s) such as Building Construction and/or Roof Decks must appear on the bid opening envelope on all projects in the amount of $50,000.00 or more (and $1.00 or more if hazardous materials are involved). Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. In accordance with La. R.S. 37.2163, anyone objecting to the above classification(s) must send a certified letter to both the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and the Office of State Procurement. The letter must be received no later than ten (10) working days prior to the day on which the bid is to be opened. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashier's check) must be included with the bidder's submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation. Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. Please refer to Attachment A: Special Terms and Conditions page four (4) for complete details of this requirement. This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of roofing for the OT/Wheel Chair Shop located at the Pinecrest Support and Services Center, 100 Pinecrst Drive, Pineville, LA 71360. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications.
