The purpose of this IFB is to select a supplier (hereinafter "Bidder"), secure firm prices, and establish a contract for the furnishing and delivery of automotive batteries to the SBAC Transportation Department (hereinafter "Department"). These products are required for the servicing of the District's bus vehicle fleet. The District currently maintains approximately 185 school buses. Bidder's response shall include all products, labor, supervision, technical expertise, transportation, facilities and other services as necessary for the proper execution and performance of contract. Bidder shall devote, and cause its personnel to devote, such time, attention, best skill and judgment, knowledge and professional ability as is necessary to perform all services in a manner that is safe, effective, efficient, environmentally acceptable, and compliant with all regulatory requirements. The contract term shall be approximately two (2) years, beginning May 01, 2022, and ending April 30, 2024. SBAC reserves the right in its sole discretion to waive any irregularities or minor technicalities in Bids received, reject any or all Bids, accept any part thereof, award to other than the low Bidder, award in the best interest of the SBAC, or cancel the IFB at its discretion.
