Burke County Board of Commissioners are seeking proposals from interested and qualified solid waste collection and disposal contractors. This will be a minimum three (3) year contract with the option to renew. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain professional services for the collection and disposal of residential waste throughout the County. Burke County is interested in proposals from each contractor that would deliver the best replacement for our existing operation(s). All available options will be thoroughly reviewed to determine which services and contractor(s) is best suited to take on this project for the citizens of Burke County. All questions regarding this RFP should be directed to merv.waldrop@burkecounty-ga.gov. In the subject line of your e-mail please put: "Solid Waste Collection Proposal Question". No information will be given or questions answered via telephone. Selection will be made after ample time has passed to review all proposals. Additional information may be requested at any time from the Burke County Board of Commissioners or their designee. It is the intent of the Board to evaluate the proposals based on value and price and to select the proposal which provides the best overall service to the citizens of Burke County. The Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all proposals, as well as, to negotiate all aspects of each proposal.
