The Glynn County Airport Commission seeks to extend the life of asphaltic airfield pavements at Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) thru a comprehensive maintenance program as recommended by FAA guidance. This program will extend asphalt runway and taxiway pavement life by routing, cleaning, and sealing cracks and joints, and applying P-608R seal coat. Airfield pavements will be remarked to complete the sealing and seal coat work. Preparation will include cleaning of airfield pavements and rubber removal on runway pavement. Significant portions of the work are to be performed during overnight runway closures to avoid impacts to air carrier service.
