The Board of Education of Wayland Union Schools is seeking bids to paint the exterior of Pine Street Gym located at the corner of Pearl Street and W. Sycamore Street, Wayland, MI, 49348. Product Specifications Paint: Commercial exterior grade. Project: To prepare the surface that is getting painted (block only, not brick) and fully and completely paint the block surfaces, and complete the project in its entirety. Project must be timed after the demolition of the adjacent structure (separate RFP). Notes: Vendor to supply paint warranty with product bid. Project cannot be sub-contracted. Complete product information and MIOSHA Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) must be provided for all products. Documentation Vendor billings shall reflect the Wayland Union Schools RFP pricing. Any adjustments must be clearly notated and discussed with management prior to any changes in invoicing. Hours of Operation Installation must be coordinated with the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor (huyckj@waylandunion.org) and product installed as determined by the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor. Miscellaneous The vendor will be responsible for all cleanup to include disposal of all project waste off-site or providing a dumpster for all waste (cost to be included in RFP). If Wayland Union Schools needs to clean or otherwise remedy the work, the vendor will be responsible for all costs incurred as charged by the district's contracted custodial company. The successful bidder must comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all governing authorities having jurisdiction over the commercial painting on a school building. Deadline for written Requests for Clarifications March 18, 2022 (4 p.m.) Additional Requests for Clarification: Prospective Contractors may request that the School District clarify information contained in the RFP. All such requests must be made in writing via email. The School District will attempt to provide a written response to all written Requests for Clarification within five (5) business days after the receipt of such request. The School District will not respond to any Request for Clarification received after March 18, 2022 (4 p.m.).
