Services contract consists generally tree trimming services for the Ames Municipal Electric Distribution Department. First term of contract shall be from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The contract is renewable for up to four (4) additional one-year terms. Written questions and requests for exceptions and clarifications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. local time on March 24, 2022 via AmesBids. The City of Ames reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days after receipt of bids, and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of $357,799. In the event the bidder marks each page of the proposal as proprietary or confidential without adhering to the requirements of the Section, the City may reject the proposal as noncompliant. The City Council does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such award(s) as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
