A bid guarantee is required pursuant to W.S. 15-1-113(f); each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee, in the form as stated in the General Provisions, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid, to be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages in the event the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to him, fails to enter into the contract within thirty (30) days after it is presented for that purpose or fails to proceed with the performance of the contract. All bids must remain open for forty-five (45) days after the date of opening of the bids as the City may require that time period for acceptance of the winning bid.
