Renovation of a mixed-use development in North Plainfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and residential development.
**As of September 28, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Additional bidding requirements are stipulated in the Specifications. All Bidders are required to provide the name, address, email address and telephone number of not less than 3 references with its Bid. Each bidder shall be required to submit with their bid a certified check or bond, payable to the Housing Authority of Plainfield. US Government Bonds at par value or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidders and for an amount as follows: Amount of Bid Bid Guaranty Up to $200,000.00 10%of Bid Over $200,000.00 up to $400,000.00 $20,000.00 Over $400,000.00 5% of Bid Bid Bond must be accompanied with Consent of Surety. The successful Bidder shall also be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of their bid upon receiving a Notice of Award from the Authority. The surety company for all bonds must be a guaranty or surety company acceptable to the US Department of Treasury. Individual sureties will not be acceptable. The surety company must also be licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. US Treasury Circular No. 570 lists companies approved to act as surety on bond securing government contracts, their maximum underwriting limits for bonded contracts and the States in which each company is licensed to do business. All bidders must be licensed, registered or otherwise legally permitted to conduct construction contracting and/or HVAC contracting business in the State of new Jersey, must satisfy all insurance requirements set forth in the bid Documents, and must currently and for the last seven (7) consecutive years been regularly engaged in General Contracting work or HVAC work similar to the Project. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding process, and award a contract to the lowest qualified bidder that is in the Authoritys best interest. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 C127, Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity laws in accordance with the applicable state and federal regulations. All questions regarding the project shall be submitted in writing via fax or email to Lewis Hurd no later than June 30, 2022, 11:00 AM. Digital documents will be issued via email upon emailed request from Bidder. This project is a wage determination project. Any person(s) working under the contract for this project must be paid an hourly rate of not less than the amount listed on the current NJ wage determination documents noted in the Specifications. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Authority.
