This project consists of preserving existing Public Land Survey System(PLSS)Corners that will be destroyed during the 2022 construction season, re establishing PLSS that were destroyed during previous construction seasons,and adjusting monument boxes that have been paved over with in Eaton County,Michigan. Unless otherwise specified, the minimum limits of property damage liability and bodily injury liability shall be: A. General Liability: 1. Primary Coverage- $500,000 per person per accident. 2. Umbrella Coverage- $1,000,000 per accident. B. Automobile Liability: 1. ThecontractormustcertifytotheEatonCountyRoadCommissionthatitsmotor vehicle insurance meets the requirements of the Michigan Motor Vehicle Insurance Law. 2. Bodily Injury Coverage- $500,000 per person per accident. 3. Property Damage Coverage- as required by statute. 4. Umbrella Coverage- $1,000,000 per accident. C. Workers Compensation Insurance: Contractor must certify that it carries Workers Compensation Insurance. All work for preserving and reestablishing PLSS corners shall be completed prior to November 30, 2022. All witnessing of the PLSS corners that will be destroyed in 2022 shall be complete prior to April 30, 2022. The Road Commission will notify the contractor when monuments that were destroyed or covered during the 2022 construction season can be reestablished or adjusted. Monuments destroyed during previous years may be reestablished at anytime unless otherwised noted by the Road Commission. The contractor shall notify the Road Commission atleast 3days prior to beginning reestablishment. The bid proposa lshall include the proposed method of placing the monument box including the pavement cutting method and back filling method and materials. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids,to waive irregularities in any proposal, and to make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the County of Eaton.
