This Item consists of the design, detailing, supply, fabrication, surface preparation, coating and delivery of all components and hardware required for three (3) pre-engineered, prefabricated single storey modular steel vehicular panel bridge superstructures including base plates. No substitutions will be permitted. All materials shall be new and the structural steel shall meet the requirements of CAN/CSA-G40.21 or ASTM A709, as specified in the most recent version of CAN/CSA-S6. The supplier shall, at the time of Tender Submission, include Preliminary General Arrangement Drawings of the Superstructure. Prior to award, the supplier shall supply design calculations including those for fatigue for review by the Owner. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest compliant bid based on the Lump Sum Price of all items listed below as specified in the specifications, meeting all requirements. The labor, equipment and materials required for, but not limited to, the design, detailing, supply (fabrication and surface preparation and coating), loading, shipping, and delivery of the complete steel superstructure, in accordance with this tender, shall be on a lump sum basis for these modular steel vehicular panel bridges. Please ensure to indicate the total bid price in the "Total Including all charges" space provided. The price bid shall not include HST. Award of contracts: no contract shall be awarded and no payment shall be made to a vendor unless authorized by the Minister or his delegates. The Minister may make an award to the preferred vendor conditional on the negotiation and acceptance of a detailed contract between the Province and the vendor. In such cases, should the detailed contract negotiations not be completed in a reasonable period of time, the Province reserves the right to discontinue negotiations with the vendor and subsequently enter into negotiations with the second preferred vendor.
