As of May 16, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The East Bay Regional Park District proposes to improve the sewerage and water systems at McKay Ave and Crown Beach. The two project goals are to renovate aging infrastructure and to separate utilities from historical connections to the neighboring properties. The Project includes the following: o Remove or abandon-in-place brick manholes and gravity sewer piping. o Remove or abandon-in-place potable water piping connected to neighboring property. o Remove single-stall wood restroom building at the south end of McKay Ave. o Demolish EBRPD SS lift station and replace it with a new adjacent SS lift station. o Install new SS manholes, gravity SS lines and SS force main. o Install 2,300 LF new potable water line. QUESTIONS DUE BY: TUESDAY, MARCH 22nd 2022 @5:00PM East Bay Regional Park District (District) is soliciting proposals from Construction Management firms to provide professional services for the McKay Utility Improvement Project. The Scope of Services for Construction Management Services includes activities prior to award of a construction contract, contract administration, construction document review, material testing, inspection, and project closeout. Park District buildings at Crown Beach are on land owned by California State Parks and operated by the East Bay Regional Park District; McKay Ave. is owned by the State of California, and utilities within McKay Ave. are owned by Public Utility companies and the adjacent property owners; Central Ave. and sewer utilities within Central Ave. are owned by the City of Alameda; and adjacent properties are owned by private entities, a non-profit, and the Park District. McKay Ave. is the sole access to several properties. Advertise to bidders late 2022 or early 2023 Construction summer 2023
