Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 03/24/2022 3:00 PM (PST) Bid Valid 120 Calendar Days Concrete materials needed for various city projects and programs for FY 22/23. Multiple vendors may be chosen to accommodate for product availability, delivery method and expediency. Bidder may begin bid submission at any time, save information, modify or withdraw bid up to the bid closing deadline. In the event that the supplier is unable to hold pricing for the project duration stated, please provide the term of which your are able to hold pricing. City would prefer supplier to be in full compliance with respect to the attached specifications for the supply and delivery of bulk asphalt and concrete to the City of Ontario Municipal Utilities and Community and Public Services Agencies. Please follow CalTrans specifications for aggregate materials, which is located in Sections 26. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an ebid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids. Questions of an operational nature may be directed to the City's Purchasing office at (909) 395-2012. Neither the City, nor PlanetBids, makes any guarantee as to the timely availability of assistance, or assurance that any given problem will be resolved by the bid submission deadline. The City reserves the right to order more, less, or no items at the "per unit cost" stated in the bid proposal. The City reserves the right to award its total requirements to one bidder, or to apportion those requirements among several Bidders as the City may deem to be in its best interests. Award of contract will be made by City Council. Bidders must submit all questions pertaining to this bid through the City's Online Bid Management System, by selecting the "Q&A" tab. Questions sent directly to City Staff will not be addressed and you will be directed to submit your question(s) online. Quantities listed are annual estimates only and not indicative of a guaranteed level of usage. Any items not listed on this bid shall be purchased at equivalent category discount. Select "Place e-bid" to start entering bid information. All information entered is visible only to bidder. Data entered may be "saved" or "submitted" and revised or withdrawn up to the closing deadline. Although price is a factor in selection of supplier(s), award may not be made strictly on the basis of low bid. The City reserves the right to waive any immaterial irregularity in any bid if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City to do so. The City has established a local preference to vendors located within the City limits of Ontario a 1 3/4% advantage in the City's determination of low bid, and a 3/4% advantage of vendors outside the City but within the County of San Bernardino.
