This proposal is for furnishing and installing 4" white fine slot tile for the Lenawee County Road Commission at various locations throughout Lenawee County. A single 4" white slot tile shall be plowed, in one single pass, in the center of the existing roadway using a trenchless method with a sand hopper. The single 4" tile shall be placed at a depth of minimum 2 foot below the existing road top with a minimum grade of .05%. The 4" tile shall be encased in one foot of sand, sand for each job to be supplied and hauled by the Lenawee County Road Commission to locations to be determined on site by the contractor for continuous tile installation. Outlets shall be at existing culverts, catch basins or at a Lenawee County Road Commission approved location. When the tile outlets, a 5 foot solid piece of 4" SDR pipe with a rodent guard shall be installed. Each outlet shall be marked with a delineator post and reflector approximately 3 foot away from the end of an existing culvert or existing catch basin. The delineator posts and reflectors will be provided by the Lenawee County Road Commission. The contractor shall be responsible for all Miss Digs and shall find and mark all existing cross culverts and existing tile outlet locations prior to installing the 4" tile. The contractor shall be responsible for any damage that may occur during installation to existing utilities or existing cross culverts. The contractor shall pre-determine all grades prior to installation of the 4" tile. All finish grading will be the responsibility of the Lenawee County Road Commission. Upon completing the tile installation the contractor shall GPS all tile and outlet locations and will store those GPS coordinates for future reference by the Lenawee County Road Commission. The contractor shall work the same hours as the Lenawee County Road Commission. During the summer the LCRC is on a 4 - 10 hour work week Monday thru Thursday. All labor equipment and materials, not supplied by the Lenawee County Road Commission shall be included in the per foot cost. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of same, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in bids and to make the award in whole or in part as may appear to be in the best interests of the Lenawee County Road Commission and Lenawee County.
