The Harrisburg School District (Owner) is requesting separate sealed Bids for a Stipulated Sum contract for the General and Electrical Construction of Harrisburg High School, John Harris Campus, Athletic Field and Running Track Improvements, located at 2451 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103. Submit Bid on the Bid Form provided in the Project Manual. Bidders are required to complete and submit Non-Collusion Affidavit with the Bid. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or bid bond in the form of AIA Document A310, from an approved Surety Company, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the Owner. The Work of the Project shall commence no later than ten (10) days after the Notice to Proceed is issued by the Owner and shall be completed, ready for use, on or before August 8, 2022. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids, except if delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case contract award would occur within 120 days of the date of bid opening, unless extended by the mutual written consent of the contracting body and the bidder. Thirty (30) day extensions of the date for the award of the contract may be made by the mutual written consent of the Owner and the bidder. Notice is given that the Project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum wage rates as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. The Harrisburg School District reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids, or to reject any or all bids.
