Renovation of a mixed-use development in Palatine, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.

The Project consists, but is not limited to, the alteration of areas within Building J including but not limited to the following: Under base bid, the removal and replacement of designated catwalk level obsolete horizontal electrical lighting connector /plug strips and all associated wiring, cabling, raceways, boxes, and hanging systems. Under alternate bid the additional removal and replacement house level obsolete vertical electrical lighting connector /plug strips and all associated wiring, cabling, raceways, boxes, and hanging systems, and associated drywall soffit repair, custom wood trim repair and replacement, painting, and staining. C.Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened and read out aloud. All questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be submitted to the Architect via email and / or fax to both Jewell Jackson (purchasing@harpercollege.edu) and Scott Steingraeber (ssteingraeber@legat.com). Replies will be issued to all bidders of record in the form of an Addendum. Questions received later than 2:00 p.m. on March 15, 2022, may not be answered. Bid security in the form of bid bond in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the aggregate of the Base Bid amount and all Alternate Bid amounts shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. Harper College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the College. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
