Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dunbar, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work will consist of roadway resurfacing of Limestone Hill, Independence Avenue, Dewitt Avenue, Trotter Street, West Penn Avenue, Robinson Street, Brookvale Street, Ball Park Road, and Franks Street in Dunbar Township; Including 120 Tons of 19.0mm Binder Course and 1,595 Tons of 9.5mm Wearing Course; complete in place. Each proposal shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the order of the Township of Dunbar in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with provisions of the Contract Documents. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap; that a mandatory ratio of apprentices and trainees to journeymen is required in each craft and that the Contractor (and any subcontractor) is obliged to make a diligent effort to achieve these ratios. The Township of Dunbar reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the biddings. Bids may be held by the Township of Dunbar for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the Contract.
