The Scituate School District (Awarding Authority), invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Scituate HS Locker Room Renovation Phase I located on 606 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy, Scituate, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Habeeb & Associates Architects dated 16 March 2022. The project consists of the demolition of the existing boy's locker room, showers, toilet rooms, and office space and the construction of the new boys and girls physical education locker rooms including separate toilet and shower facilities, and two associated offices. Deduct Alternate 1 includes the deletion of Phenolic Core Toilet Compartments and the addition of Plastic Toilet Compartments. Award is anticipated for May 2022 with mobilization and work to commence in June 2022. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime Update Statement (Form CQ 3). General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Town of Scituate. All bids shall remain in effect for sixty (60) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays not included, after the opening of General Bids. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Mendon-Upton Regional School District.
