Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Removal of existing asphalt path, removal of benches and bench bays, waste receptacles, removal of drinking fountain, removal of light posts, and removal of select Meewasin signage. New asphalt path, pathway lighting, installation of lookout with unit paving, railing at lookout, concrete retaining wall, irrigation, topsoil placement and grading, seeding, mulches, planting, installation of Owner provided site furnishings, select removals and/or pruning of existing perennials and/or shrubs and establishment maintenance in a highly visible and popular riverbank park. Kiwanis Memorial Park South is a popular downtown park in Saskatoon. Enhancements are planned for the Meewasin Primary Trail as the first phase of enhancements planned for the entire downtown riverfront. Trail detours will be necessary to undertake the work. The goal of the project is to replace and widen existing trail through this section of the park, with new amenities and lookouts. TIMELINE: Due to overall Meewasin funding considerations, tender from general contractors has been cancelled by the owner. Project may be republished in 2023, if/when tender is reissued by the owner.
