The Town of North Andover, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Water Treatment Facility Improvements FY 2022, Town of North Andover, Massachusetts project. This project is being Electronically Bid (E-Bid). The Work under this Contract includes improvements to miscellaneous treatment processes at the Town of North Andovers Drinking Water Treatment Facility as shown in the Contract Documents. All work must be substantially complete, including all testing and checkout requirements, 275 calendar days from and including issuance of a notice to proceed. The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Sections inclusive of Chapter 149 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. Prevailing wage rates apply. The Town of North Andover may cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, if they determine that cancellation or rejection serves the best interest of the Town of North Andover. Completion- 275 calendar days Influent Traveling Screen: Equipment inspection by manufacturer's certified technician. Furnishing and installing new hardware and additional improvements identified as part of the equipment inspection. o Flocculation System: Select demolition of existing equipment to be replaced. Furnish and install new wetted components, including but not limited to, the shafts, paddles, bearings, supports, and all associated appurtenances. Furnish and install new variable frequency drives and complete associated electrical and I&C work. o Sedimentation System: Select demolition of existing equipment to be replaced. Furnish and install new drive assembly motors, drive cables, wheels, limit switches, and select suction piping for the sedimentation basin sludge removal systems. Complete all associated electrical and I&C work. Furnish and install a new FRP ladder access for accessing the lower portion of the sedimentation basins. Relocate existing tube settler support brackets to provide additional clear opening space for ladder access. Select demolition of existing tube settlers in location of new ladder access. o Finished Water System: Select demolition of existing equipment to be replaced. Furnish and install new finished water isolation valves and actuators. o Chemical Metering Pump Control System: Select demolition of existing equipment to be replaced. Furnish and install new chemical metering pump control panels and motor drives. o Rapid Mix System: Select demolition of existing equipment to be replaced. Furnish and install new rapid mixer units in their entirety including new gear motors, motor controls, and associated electrical equipment.
