Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waukon, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will consist of resurfacing existing streets with 3" of fiber reinforced HMA after curb and gutter repairs or new curb and gutter has been completed. HMA headers will be milled. Sidewalks at intersections will be made ADA compliant and driveway approaches will be modified as needed. Existing sanitary sewer manholes will be adjusted to grade with PCC boxouts. One existing intersection and an approach to a second intersection will be removed and replaced with new 8" thick PCC. Three PCC blocks will have curb and gutter isolated with full depth saw cuts before they are cracked and seated. Other miscellaneous items will also be part of the project. Project is located on two blocks of 5th Avenue NW from 4th Street NW to Second Street NW, four blocks of 2nd Street NW from 4th Avenue NW to 8th Avenue NW, and one block of 2nd Avenue NW from 1st Street NW to Allamakee Street. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $600.00 per Calendar Day will be assessed for each Calendar Day that any work shall remain uncompleted beyond the specified completion date allowed. Est.
